Unhealthy Emotional reactions:                                                                    Healthy Emotions

Are extreme in how bad they feel                                                                       May be negative, but mild, not extreme

Don't heal well with time                                                                                    Gradually improve

Lead to self defeating or other negative behavior making thins worse                   Lead to understanding, reflection and a plan to improve the situation

Are obsessive not allowing you to shift focus to other things                                Allow you to remain aware of other positive events or situations
